So I think I’ve pretty much come up with the perfect backup scheme for Wordpress.
The secret is Gmail.
With the wp-db-backup plugin I can schedule daily/weekly backups (I use weekly) of my entire database, and have it sent automatically to my Gmail!
That way my entire site is stored safely in the Google cloud, and I won’t have to worry about where to store the database.
My entire sidebar menu is dynamic and run on widgets, so that is also stored in the database and not the theme. Much better.

When I’m finally happy with my theme I email a zipped copy to my Gmail of that too.

I don’t think Google or Gmail is going anywhere anytime soon, so to me this seems like a solid backup scheme.

So in an attempt to make everything better, I cleaned up and combined several pages.
First I removed the Discography and Downloads sections, combined those into the Releases section.
It could be confusing to have two.

Second, I created a local page for all netlabel releases with a local player to stream/download all of them. They are linked from the Releases section.
I also removed the Contact menu item and renamed About to About/Contact..

So now it’s all a bit more minimal and easier to use.

I have also a new front page planned, so keep an eye out for that!

I added a new player, it’s better this way because people have complained about having to download.

The art gallery now has new thumbnails, with the original aspect ratio so you can see the full image rather than a cropped one! I think this makes it easier to pick out images!
